At the moment I am loving raw blueberry chia jam recipe, I enjoy to have it with my breakfast, is the perfect way to start the day full of energy.
Chia seeds have an amazing nutritional value, are high in fibre and omega 3 fatty acids which are great for healthy brain and to reduce the cholesterol, they have a high protein value which helps to boost energy and stabilise blood sugar levels. To this, we have to add the nutritional value of the blueberries, they are one of the highest antioxidant fruits in the world, and they have anti-inflammatory properties with lots of vitamin C and manganese as well.
This jam is really creamy and full of flavours, the mix of all ingredients make it delicious, and is so quick and easy to make! You can use it to create different recipes, my favourite ones are on top of multi cereal bread and with coconut yogurt, blueberries and cereals.
½ cup coconut water
4 tablespoons chia seeds
2 cups blueberries
2 tablespoon agave syrup
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 3 hours
Total Time: 3 hours, 5 minutes
1 Blend all the ingredients in the blender during 3 minutes or so, then place it in a closed container in the fridge overnight. I like to make it at night in a glass jar so, the next day I can have it with my breakfast.
